Don't you think it would be kind of fun just to write a letter and see if it actually arrived? Why don't you try it????? Yes, this is a shameless ploy for letters from home.

  1. O.K. I am going to try to "write", with a pen even a letter to you this week...I actually can't remember the last time I "wrote" a letter. Boy, I must really like you to go to all this effort...Look for it in the near future...I guess I will have to take it to the post to mail it...I haven't been to the post in years...this is becoming quite an adventure....diane

    1. May Krishna bless you, but don't count on it. He seems quite uninvolved for all the attention he gets over here. I look forward to hearing from you! I'm going to have to make my own envelopes. They don't even have envelopes here.

  2. We got your letters!!! We are so excited. After receiving them some of the students decided to rewrite their letters so they could respond to your questions. We have also taken pictures of recess, our classroom, and eating lunch. The pictures and letters should be in the mail tomorrow.

    1. I'm so excited for my students to receive YOUR students' letters! What a wonderful opportunity we have to get to know one another. A picture of an elephant is soon to follow on my blog. I promise. Tomorrow is a no school day and I'm going down to Pondicherry to be blessed by an elephant. FUN! Please tell your class how much I appreciate their efforts - and yours too, Sandra. I treasure and protect our friendship. It means so much to me.

    1. Yes, definitely, it was on a slow boat to China. I've read it several times. It's amazing how important some contact with home can be. Ask Gordon if he felt that way on his mission. I'm having some of the same feelings - busy, but oh so homesick. But I'll make it.

  4. When I went to Fed Ex they said they couldn't find the postal code 603 107. I gave them the package you sent me and the printed code inside was 600032. Just thought I would let you know. I will send your letters this afternoon and see what the post office here says about the number.

  5. There is an expression used in India about a hundred times a day, Sandra. T.I.I. - This Is India. The school gave me that address, but they're all Indians and they have no idea where they live.
