The housekeeping staff

The one in the middle is such a slacker.
The house behind the housekeeping staff looks great, doesn't it? NOT where I live.

    1. You have terrible taste in 'hipness', Brooke. Thanks for the photo, by the way. Now, Mike will quit bugging me for one.

    1. The two women sitting on either side of me are my good friends, Ellamylou, and Continenta. I don't know the names of the other two as they don't ordinarily work in the area I am in. They are helping out while members of the Board of Directors are around. There are a lot of people to care for.

  3. I'm guessing that the red dots on their foreheads are an indication of caste, right? If so what caste does it mean, if not what is it for?

    1. Hal, please see my reply down below. For some reason, it posted there instead of under your inquiry.

  5. Hal - Usually, whatever is painted on their foreheads has no significance except as a decoration. Once in a while, depending on a religious holiday, there will be a different kind of dot. It is called "The third eye" and it's meant to identify people whose hearts are filled with envy toward you. Then you get a chance to avoid those people. There are also removeable forehead decorations called 'Bindis'. No significance at all - just another form of jewelry. Some upper caste Hindu men will wear a very thin red vertical line upon their foreheads, signifying their place in the caste system and their right to worship in special places in the Hindu Temples. Prushodamen, the Brahmin dude in the Administrative office wears such a line.
